Dheeraj Cukke Elevating Indian Fashion Photography Through Editorial Storytelling and International Creative Vision

The Indian fashion photography industry is witnessing a new wave of creative talent, and among the emerging names gaining recognition for visual sophistication and editorial precision is Bangalore-based photographer Dheeraj Cukke. Hailing from Mysore, Karnataka, Dheeraj has steadily built a strong reputation through his cinematic runway captures, luxury-inspired fashion editorials, and refined storytelling approach that blends technical precision with artistic depth.

Over the years, Dheeraj has worked across some of South India’s prominent fashion platforms including Bangalore Fashion Week, Bangalore Times Fashion Week, Mysore Times Fashion Week, Heritage Runway Show, and multiple designer showcases. His ability to freeze motion, highlight garment craftsmanship, and capture authentic runway emotion has made his work stand apart in the competitive fashion photography space.

Known for creating visuals that resemble international fashion campaigns, Dheeraj’s photography combines dramatic lighting, balanced compositions, and attention to detail, transforming fashion imagery into immersive editorial experiences. His growing body of work extends beyond runway photography into couture campaigns, celebrity editorials, commercial branding projects, and luxury fashion productions.

One of his recent editorial productions, titled A Vision of Timeless Fashion, reflects this evolving creative identity. Featuring acclaimed South Indian runway model Sahana, the project focused on elegance, craftsmanship, and premium editorial aesthetics. Sahana, recognized for her appearances at Bangalore Times Fashion Week, Mumbai Times Fashion Week, IGCW, Bangalore Fashion Week, and numerous national fashion campaigns, brought poise and sophistication to the visual narrative.

The editorial concept was creatively envisioned by Akashay Rao, while fashion styling was executed by Chaitrashree, who seamlessly blended traditional Indian artistry with contemporary luxury fashion presentation. The centerpiece of the shoot was a richly embroidered couture saree designed in royal blue, emerald green, silver, and violet tones, enhanced with intricate embellishments and mirror detailing.

Photographed by Dheeraj.cukke using soft, controlled lighting and a minimal neutral backdrop, the editorial emphasized graceful draping, fabric textures, and intricate craftsmanship. Each frame was designed to maintain visual balance while allowing the garment and model presence to remain the focal point of the storytelling.

The editorial’s standout element was its premium post-production execution. Detailed retouching techniques were applied to preserve embroidery sharpness, jewelry reflections, fabric textures, and natural skin tones while introducing cinematic color grading that elevated the imagery to international editorial standards. The final output reflected the polished finish commonly associated with global luxury fashion magazines.

Adding further depth to the production was the beauty direction led by makeup artist Shruthagowda and hairstylist Shalini Mahadev, whose work contributed significantly to the sophisticated and timeless visual identity of the shoot.

The project also brought together a collaborative creative team featuring editorial finishing by Click Basya (Bhaskar), cinematic videography by Rahul CR, and digital creative management by Chaithyana Sudhakar, who oversees the expanding online presence of Dheeraj.cukke Photography. The recent addition of Abhishek Gowda and Mayank Chauhan to the team reflects the brand’s continued creative expansion and collaborative growth.

The editorial has already received international recognition through acceptance in multiple fashion magazines across London, Italy, and France. With publication reach extending across India, Paris, New York, Denmark, London, France, and Italy, Dheeraj Cukke is steadily positioning himself among the next generation of Indian photographers bringing global fashion aesthetics into regional creative storytelling.

As the Indian fashion industry continues evolving toward internationally inspired visual narratives, Dheeraj Cukke’s work represents a strong blend of elegance, technical finesse, and editorial artistry, establishing him as a rising creative force in modern fashion photography.
